The first drop of 6 sub-collections of The Mango House Collection. Long story short, Lexi bought a home + named it Mango. We have collaborated with her to design a wallpaper collection that reflects the theme of Mango's unique rooms. Inspired by the feelings music imposes, this sub-collection is full of bright, jazzy patterns. Girl, put your records on, tell us your favorite print + listen, as your walls will sing a tune themselves.
1. What inspired the record room wallpaper collection?
I wanted the collection to be fun, funky, fresh + unique with colors that feel like music and patterns that feel like movement. I wanted the wallpapers in this collection specifically, to make you feel a little something in your soul + maybe some put some groove in your body.
I consider myself to be someone a little bit all over the place. A bit like my music taste, there’s no genre that goes untouched! I feel the same with all things I create. Why not dip your toes every thing? I’ve never believed in choosing just one music genre, so why put any creative outlets in one box? Music inspires me to chase alllll my dreams, no matter how crazy or random they may be!
3. It may be tricky to choose, but if you had to... what is your favorite album at the moment?
As a girly girl, who tends to be a littttttle bit basic at times. I’m a swiftie through and through... and given my current relationship status- I’ve had Taylor Swift's Lover on repeat. Which is funny because I used to scream and sing all of her heartbreak songs, and now I press skip.
4. If you could spend a day with one music artist dead or alive, who would it be and why?
Probably Chance the Rapper. He’s been one of my favorite artists for as long as I can remember. But aside from that, I really think he’s one of the coolest people of all time. He raises money for social works, helps out in his community and a whole lot more goodness. He’s the first celebrity I followed that noticeably prioritized doing good in the world and that’s something that inspires me everyday.
5. How are you styling your furniture pieces with the prints from the record room collection?
One step at a time and simply finding a way to make it work! One thing about not being a perfectionist when it comes to interior design is that it gives me a lot more freedom to figure out the space as the process goes. So we test and test pieces until it all comes together. It works like a charm! And it’s definitely convenient that this wallpaper collection can go with just about annnnyyytthhiinggg + add a little spice to each room.
